||Youth Intro – Coach should currently be coaching in youth game U13 – U18 and have completed child welfare workshop / safeguarding workshop.
All FAI Education should start with a Safeguarding 1 course and all participants must be FAI Garda Vetted.
||The Youth Intro is a mix of theory and practical so please bring a pen and pad and gear to fully participate in the coaching practice sessions.
The course will see the coach complete theory and coaching practice, as well as pre-course, in-course assignments.
||The Youth Intro is designed to assist coaches working within the youth game in acquiring the specific knowledge for the development of players working within the adult game.
The course is aimed at providing the coach with knowledge, skills and competence to coach at this level.
||The course will take place on either grass or all-weather depending on the weather. You should also bring a packed lunch with you.
Participants will be asked to abide by the Code of Ethics / Conduct in Soccer and the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Sport in Ireland.
Participants must also agree to abide by the rules laid down by the Football Association of Ireland and its staff.
